Job Summary:
The Resident Services Nurse (Licensed Practical Nurse) is a key member of our healthcare team at Maplewood Mayflower Place ALF LLC. This role is responsible for assisting the Resident Services Director in the implementation, delivery, and coordination of Resident Care Services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead the Resident Services Department team, including C.N.A.'s (Resident Services Assistants), to ensure high-quality care and services.
- Assist in the supervision of the medication program and support residents with self-administration of medication.
- Maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and physicians to ensure excellent customer satisfaction.
- Report significant incidents and changes in resident needs to the Executive Director/Resident Services Director.
- Support the completion of resident assessments and service plans to ensure individualized care.
- Assist with clinical assessments and recertifications as required by ALSA.
- Support the Resident Services Director in hiring, managing performance, and training of department staff.
- Participate in scheduled in-service programs, training, and associate meetings to stay up-to-date on best practices.
- Assist with scheduling and staffing of Resident Services Assistants as needed.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to Resident Services Department associates to enhance their skills and performance.
- Support residents and families to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Assist with supervision of RSA staff during provision of care.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Resident Services Director.
Compliance and Safety:
- Follow emergency procedures to ensure resident safety.
- Understand and adhere to safety practices and procedures to prevent accidents.
Communication and Teamwork:
- Communicate effectively with the supervisor and other staff members to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Maintain positive working relationships with residents, their families, peers, and other staff members.
- Encourage a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and collaboration.
Education and Experience:
- Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the appropriate state(s).
- Basic first aid and CPR certification.
- Two years of full-time or full-time equivalent clinical experience.
- Experience in assisted living or long-term care settings is preferred.
- Experience working with seniors is highly valued.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Licensed Practical Nurse.
