Section Chief of Advanced Cardiac Therapies and Transplantation

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Cardiologist to serve as the Section Chief of Advanced Cardiac Therapies and Transplantation at the University of Utah Health. The successful candidate will lead our team of experts in heart failure, mechanical circulatory support, pre- and post-transplant, and ventricular assist device (VAD) patients, as well as cardiac transplantation and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO).

Responsibilities
  • Lead the Section of Advanced Cardiac Therapies and Transplantation, overseeing all clinical aspects, educational efforts, program development, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with our team of pediatric cardiothoracic surgeons, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.
  • Develop and implement innovative programs to improve patient outcomes and advance the field of pediatric cardiology.
  • Participate in academic and research activities, including education, investigation, and administration.
Requirements
  • Board Eligible/Board Certified in Pediatric Cardiology.
  • Focused training and expertise in Heart Failure, Cardiomyopathy, and Transplant.
  • Additional training in pediatric heart failure is required.
