About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles, including tractors, trailers, and refrigeration units.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems using advanced diagnostic tools and software.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and repairs on vehicle systems, including brakes, engines, and hydraulic systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed, including documentation in our Fleet Maintenance Management System.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless maintenance operations and minimize downtime.
  • Stay up-to-date with manufacturer specifications, fleet management policies, and industry best practices.
Requirements
  • EPA 608 & EPA 609 Certification
  • Demonstrated proficiency in brake system diagnostics and repair
  • Demonstrated proficiency in diesel engine diagnostics and repair
  • Demonstrated proficiency in refrigeration unit system diagnostics and repair
  • Demonstrated proficiency in hydraulic liftgate diagnostics and repair
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical problems
  • Valid driver's license to operate company vehicles
  • Ability to lift 30-60 lbs. repetitively and heavier items weighing up to 100 lbs. occasionally
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Class "A" CDL or willingness to complete CDL training within 6 months
  • ASE Certifications or willingness to acquire
  • Prior experience using a Fleet Maintenance Management System
  • Prior experience supervising and coaching others on work quality and safety
  • Material handling equipment experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with welding
