Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team at El Centro Family Health. As a key member of our primary care team, you will provide high-quality medical care to patients in our community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide general medical care to patients, including physical exams, diagnosis, and treatment of illnesses
  • Order and interpret tests, counsel patients on preventive health care, and write prescriptions
  • Participate in the provision of a community-oriented primary care program
  • May provide clinical supervision, technical assistance, and guidance to health professional students and other medical providers

Requirements:

  • Completion of a course of study leading to certification as a family nurse practitioner or physician assistant
  • Current certification by the New Mexico Board of Nursing or Medical Examiners
  • Assignment of physician supervision by the New Mexico Board of Medical Examiners (for physician assistants)
  • National certification as a family nurse practitioner or physician assistant
  • Licensure to practice medicine in New Mexico
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Post-training experience in the medical professional field, preferably in primary health care
