Job Summary:

The Project Manager - Hydro Engineering Lead will lead the execution of Hydro Engineering projects, communicating directly with clients and internal customers. This role requires a strong understanding of utility operations and customer interaction, as well as experience in leading large teams and implementing complex initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Hydro Engineering project teams in the execution of projects
  • Communicate directly with clients and internal customers
  • Provide oversight of lead discipline engineers, project administrators, project controls, scheduler, and procurement representatives
  • Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
  • Ensure project deliverables meet quality, budget, and schedule requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate project risks
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum 5-7 years relevant experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • Demonstrated experience in leading large teams and implementing complex initiatives
  • Experience in the hydro industry, specifically around water retaining structures (dams, embankments, spill gates, penstocks, tunnels, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Energizing leader with strong interpersonal communication and facilitation skills
  • Self-starter able to work well in new and undefined environments
  • Strong skills in follow-up and follow-through of action items and dependencies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including formal presentations

Work Environment:

This role is applicable to employees that will work in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, and New York within AVANGRD Network and Corporate functions.

This is an in-office position.
