We are in search of a skilled and proactive Permanent Financial Controller, specializing in Multifamily Property Accounting.

The selected candidate will be accountable for managing all accounting, financial reporting, and budgeting tasks for a diverse portfolio of multifamily properties.

This pivotal role is central to our financial operations and is ideal for a detail-oriented, strategic professional who excels in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Overseeing all accounting functions for a portfolio of multifamily properties, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition.
  • Coordinating and directing the preparation of budgets, financial forecasts, and variance reports.
  • Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements.
  • Ensuring quality control over financial transactions and reporting.
  • Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to enhance internal controls.
  • Managing compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements and tax obligations.
  • Monitoring debt levels and adherence to debt covenants.
  • Collaborating closely with property managers and corporate leadership to provide financial insights and recommendations.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. An MBA or CPA designation is highly desirable.
  • A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably within the finance sector, with at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing accounting operations for multifamily properties.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger.
  • Experience in preparing financial statements and financial reporting.
  • Proficient in accounting software and administration.
