Job Title: Fashion Product Developer

Join Steve Madden as a Fashion Product Developer and play a key role in creating a product line that represents the brand's aesthetic. As a member of our design team, you will be responsible for developing a product line that showcases the brand's style and sophistication.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and consumer preferences
  • Source and select materials for samples, including leather, fabric, and ornamentation
  • Present sample designs to stakeholders and make revisions as needed
  • Attend trade shows to stay up-to-date on industry trends and network with peers
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement product lines
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders, both verbally and in writing
  • Strong decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
  • Discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and resolve issues
  • Ability to supervise and mentor junior team members
Education and Experience:
  • College degree in the arts or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in the fashion industry, with a focus on product development
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and CAD software
  • Understanding of target market and consumer preferences
Salary Range:

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $90,000, depending on experience and qualifications. This range does not include benefits, such as health insurance, paid time off, and 401K.
