The Transportation Manager II role at J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. involves leading the direct management and supervision of midsize driver counts, ensuring safe and timely service movement of freight, load assignment, and providing best-in-class customer service.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Supervising a team of drivers to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Coordinating with internal stakeholders to resolve service issues, routing and/or planning, mechanical problems, accessorial pay-related issues, etc.
  • Conducting daily driver safety messages, monthly driver safety briefings, quarterly driver training, annual reviews, and enforcing company policies to ensure DOT compliance and company safety requirements are being met.
  • Assigning loads and planning, routing, and monitoring freight movement to provide safe, on-time service and meet customer requirements.
  • Managing inventory, assets, customer pools, and/or driver assignments to balance equipment in market.

**Requirements:**

  • High School Diploma/GED and 2-3 years of experience in transportation/logistics, business administration, account management, and/or equivalent military experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel to account and customer locations.
