The Nurse Manager is tasked with executing advanced nursing responsibilities, which encompass planning, developing, coordinating, and assessing nursing care around the clock.

This role oversees daily operations across all designated areas, ensuring adherence to established Standards of Practice aligned with the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC), ICF-IID regulations, and the Texas State Board of Nursing.

The Nurse Manager plays a critical role in maintaining a skilled workforce, providing clinical guidance, and ensuring that care is tailored to the unique needs of each resident, considering factors such as age, developmental stage, and specific health requirements.

Collaboration is key; the Nurse Manager works closely with interdisciplinary teams, residents, families, and external organizations to enhance care quality.


Key Responsibilities:

Regular attendance is essential, with potential requirements for specific shifts or rotating schedules. The Nurse Manager may also serve on-call as needed.

Responsibilities include planning, organizing, and managing daily operations in compliance with SSLC and HHSC policies, as well as state and federal regulations.

The Nurse Manager acts as a leader in nursing practice, engaging in performance improvement initiatives, monitoring nursing performance metrics, and conducting reviews of nursing records.

This position also involves supervising nursing staff, promoting a positive work environment, and ensuring that nursing policies support professional standards and organizational goals.

The Nurse Manager is responsible for the implementation of trauma-informed, resident-centered care and the development of effective nursing service strategies.

Additional duties include ensuring the protection of residents' rights, conducting clinical reviews, and addressing safety and risk management concerns.

The Nurse Manager collaborates with leadership to maintain adequate nursing staff levels, ensuring continuous availability to meet resident care needs.

Participation in committees and partnerships with external stakeholders is also expected to foster quality care delivery.


Required Skills and Knowledge:
