About the Role
">This is an exciting opportunity for a School Psychologist to join our team at Amergis. We are seeking a qualified professional to provide mental health and developmental support to students in Carmichael, CA.
">Job Summary
">We are looking for a dedicated and passionate School Psychologist to work with pediatric and adolescent populations. The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in Psychology and be licensed to practice in the state of California. Experience working with children and adolescents is highly preferred.
">Key Responsibilities
">- Evaluation and Assessment
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify students' strengths and areas of need.
- Determine the nature of a child's problems through a full case study evaluation.
- Pre-Referral Consultation and Intervention
- Collaborate with teachers and other team members to develop interventions to support student success.
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed.
- Psycho-Educational Assessments and Reports
- Administer standardized assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, academic, and emotional functioning.
- Prepare comprehensive reports to inform IEP teams and guide instructional planning.
- IEP Team Meetings and Collaboration
- Participate in IEP meetings to discuss student needs and develop individualized education plans.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to ensure seamless delivery of services.
- Professional Development and Training
- Stay current with best practices and research-based interventions by participating in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
">To be considered for this role, you must:
">- Hold a Master's degree in Psychology or a related field.
- Be licensed to practice as a School Psychologist in the state of California.
- Have experience working with pediatric and adolescent populations.
- Be proficient in using technology to support data-driven decision-making.
