Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team at The Society For Cardiovascular Angiography And Interventions. As a Senior LVN, you will play a critical role in providing direct patient care and working collaboratively with our clinical staff to ensure the highest standards of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Direct Patient Care: You will be responsible for providing direct patient care to a diverse patient population, including assessing patients, administering medications, and performing various medical procedures.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Staff: You will work closely with our clinical staff, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
  • Maintain High Standards of Care: You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of care, recognizing normal and abnormal signs and symptoms of life-threatening emergencies, and taking appropriate action to ensure patient safety.
  • Coordinate and Prioritize Tasks: You will coordinate and prioritize tasks and protocols established by the department, ensuring that patient care is delivered in a timely and efficient manner.
Requirements
  • Active License: You must possess an active license issued by the State of CA Board of Vocational Nurse Examiners with Intravenous Therapy and blood withdrawal certification.
  • BLS/CPR Certification: You must possess BLS/CPR certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Phlebotomy and Medical Skills: You must be able to perform phlebotomy, CPR, injections, and other skills within the scope of practice.
  • Computer Skills: You must demonstrate proficiency in computer skills, Windows computer function, computer navigation, and ability to use computerized patient care systems.
  • Interpersonal Skills: You must possess excellent interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication, to effectively convey sensitive information to patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Instruments and Supplies: You must have knowledge of all instruments and supplies to perform physical examinations and/or procedures.
  • LVN Experience: You must have at least 6 months of LVN experience.
