Job Description

Stream-Flo Industries Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Inventory Control Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficient utilization of inventory, minimizing stock holding, and maximizing system and paperwork transaction accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute inventory control practices to ensure the accuracy and efficient utilization of inventory.
  • Plan and conduct inventory audit activities, including cycle counts, spot checks, and annual physical inventories.
  • Implement smart stocking policies for key inventory and review inventory stocking policies periodically for relevance.
  • Ensure discipline to inventory control and shipping/receiving processes and procedures.
  • Compile and report performance metrics for the inventory management department.
  • Verify all shipments against stock transfer order demands are correct before departure.
  • Ensure accurate pick to transfers and sales orders, ensuring traceability accuracy with respect to the ERP system.
  • Monitor in-transit reports and outstanding Purchase Order and Stock Transfer items and proactively seek resolution for aged items.
  • Lead and monitor the site cycle count program, identify opportunities for improvement, and report progress as required.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate activity for area annual physical inventories.
  • Thoroughly research and document inventory discrepancies using all available resources to identify root causes and supply possible solutions.
  • Assist with the identification and disposition of slow-moving inventory as required.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years comprehensive industry experience.
  • Related post-secondary education or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of wellhead and flow control equipment.
  • Excellent knowledge of ERP system usage (preferably SAP) and typical inventory management practices.
  • Superior attention to detail, good planning and organizational skills, excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Strong customer service skills (internal and external).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
