Job Summary

As a CT Technologist at CHRISTUS Health, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care by performing a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures. Your expertise will be essential in providing support to other imaging technologists and contributing to the organization's mission, values, and culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet the expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
  • Perform a variety of diagnostic procedures, including complex ones, utilizing state-of-the-art computerized diagnostic imaging equipment.
  • Demonstrate competency in starting and maintaining intravenous (IV) access and using high-speed, pressurized injection equipment.
  • Evaluate patients for clinical contrast history and potential contraindications.
  • Adhere to established section and organizational protocols, QA guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
  • Interact effectively with patients and all care providers by coordinating and prioritizing procedures during the workday to maintain high-quality patient care and continuity.
  • Rotate within departments and clinics for proper coverage.
  • Assist radiologists in invasive and biopsy-type procedures using CT equipment to pinpoint anatomical locations.
  • Ensure exam rooms are neat, clean, and adequately stocked prior to exams and maintain Infection Control standards.
  • Accurately code and enter charges.
  • Adapt patient assessment, treatment, and/or care methods to accommodate unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, age-specific, and other developmental needs.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to CHRISTUS Health's Core values.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or equivalent required.
  • 1 year of CT experience in a hospital or clinical setting required.
  • 3 years of CT experience in a clinical imaging setting preferred.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology required.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in CT required.
  • Current state licensure required.
  • Current BLS (American Heart Association) required.
