Job Summary

As a Sportsbook Ticket Writer at Hard Rock International (USA), Inc., you will be responsible for processing wagers for customers who are betting on the results of sporting events. This role requires efficient and timely transactions, as well as outstanding guest service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Engagement: Professionally engage with patrons to effectively resolve disputes and answer questions, enhancing the guest experience.
  • Ticket Management: Maintain and balance a till for issuing and redeeming tickets and vouchers, adhering to company void and cash handling procedures.
  • Product Promotion: Communicate and promote our wagering options and promotions to patrons.
  • Escalation and Problem-Solving: Have a strong knowledge of when and where to escalate potential complaints, business risks, and potential VIP customers.
  • Window Maintenance: Maintain a neat and well-stocked window for the next shift.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to all rules and regulations set forth by the Property and by the Virginia Lottery.
  • Brand Representation: Consistently demonstrate values and behaviors consistent with the Hard Rock brand.
  • Sports Wagering Knowledge: Understand sports wagering terminology/products, and manage customer expectations.
  • Communication and Problem-Solving: Exceptional communication/problem-solving skills to clearly articulate ideas, frame problems, and offer solutions with both internal and external customers.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time and work in a loud, smoking environment.
  • Flexibility: Flexibility to oversee operations 24/7 and be on call and available to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
Requirements
  • Experience: 1+ years' experience in Gaming and/or Sportsbook related roles preferred.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong background and in-depth knowledge of the gaming industry and betting process preferred.
  • Customer Service: Customer Service experience required.
  • Cash Handling: Prior cash handling experience required.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Must obtain and maintain all licenses/certifications per Federal, State, and Virginia Lottery.
  • Background Check: Must successfully pass background check.
  • Drug Screening: Must successfully pass drug screening.
  • Age Requirement: Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
