About the Role:

This position serves as a key member of the Enterprise Information Technology Services (EITS) team at the University of Georgia, providing technical support to faculty, staff, students, and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to centrally supported services, including UGAMail, MyID, eLC, and Archpass Duo.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Tier 1 technical support through various channels, including online ticketing, chat, call-center, and walk-ins.
  • Collaborate with EITS service unit support staff to improve responsiveness to support issues and client satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain internal and external support knowledge base.
  • Assist with training of new EITS Help Desk Professional Assistants.
  • Review internal processes and procedures to identify areas for service improvement.

Requirements:

  • Technical knowledge in the field acquired through an apprenticeship, a 2-year degree, or professional certificate.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with others and adapt to changes in the industry.
