Job SummaryWe are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Respiratory Therapist to join our team on a travel assignment. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to achieve excellent patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Provide respiratory care services to patients with a variety of respiratory conditions, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pneumonia, and acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS).
- Develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Conduct pulmonary function tests, including spirometry and arterial blood gas analysis.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, including bronchodilators, corticosteroids, and oxygen therapy.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of employment.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and move patients as needed.
