Perioperative Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Perioperative Technician to join our team at Bon Secours Mercy Health. As a Perioperative Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms, providing exceptional patient care, and supporting our clinical teams.

• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the operating room environment, including equipment and supplies.
• Provide clerical support to the department, including answering phones, scheduling procedures, and maintaining accurate records.
• Transport patients and equipment safely, and run case-related errands to blood bank, lab, and medical records.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a safe and efficient operating room environment.
• Participate in the orientation of new employees to the surgery/recovery departments.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CPR with BLS, Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers obtained within 30 days.
• At least two years of clinical experience in an acute environment or nursing student with 1 semester of clinical rotation completed.
