Job Responsibilities
  • Integrate software baselines for current and future systems, ensuring seamless functionality and compatibility.
  • Analyze, develop, test, and modify hardware and/or software interfaces and solutions to meet user requirements.
  • Coordinate with users to identify data availability, report requirements, and systems design problems, providing expert solutions.
  • Define system objectives and prepare system design specifications to meet user requirements and solve interface problems.
  • Review work products for correctness, adherence to design concepts, and user standards, ensuring progress according to schedules.
  • Prepare status reports and presentations on task performance to clients, providing clear and concise information.
  • Maintain disciplined software release control and configuration management, ensuring efficient and secure operations.
  • Coordinate with DoD Cyber methodology and standards, working within a Risk Management Framework (RMF) to ensure compliance and security.
  • Work primarily on-site with some remote work (approximately 20%) possible, requiring flexibility and adaptability.
Requirements
  • BS degree in Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a relevant IT major, or equivalent experience with a Sec+ certification.
  • Must be a US Citizen, with a current DoD SECRET minimum security clearance preferred or the ability to obtain one.
  • Must pass a background check at hire, ensuring a secure and trustworthy environment.
  • Prior DCGS or military experience is highly valued, with a strong understanding of software integration and development.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with scripting in at least two languages, including PowerShell, NSIS, VBScript, JavaScript, Batch, and/or Bash.
  • Proficient with relational databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL, with a strong understanding of data structures and encryption algorithms.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban, with experience in virtual environment setup and support using VMware ESXi.
  • Engineering experience with Microsoft Windows 10 OS or Microsoft Windows Server OS, with a strong understanding of network interconnection setup and support using Cisco IOS or Netgear OS.
  • Experience in scanning, patching, and mitigating cybersecurity vulnerabilities using ACAS and SCAP, with a strong understanding of cybersecurity requirements and compliance.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of end users and technical resources.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a team-oriented and collaborative environment, with a strong focus on problem-solving and documentation.
  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills for software build plans and technical manuals, with a strong understanding of cybersecurity requirements and compliance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to propose solutions and provide SME (Subject Matter Expert) and fleet support, troubleshoot issues, and validate solutions.
