CRNA Anesthesia Specialist Job Description
Job Summary:
Massachusetts General Hospital is seeking a highly skilled CRNA Anesthesia Specialist to provide anesthesia care to patients of all ages in all settings, across the continuum of care.
Responsibilities:
- Provide anesthesia services to patients, including general anesthesia, neuraxial anesthesia, regional anesthesia, and monitored anesthesia care.
- Assess patients to determine need for physician attention and make professional decisions for anesthesia care based upon a comprehensive health assessment.
- Deliver direct patient care before, during, and after procedures requiring anesthesia, including preoperative evaluations, inserting invasive monitoring lines, and interpreting data.
- Maintain professional standards of health care before, during, and after an anesthetic, including preparing and evaluating the safety of anesthetic equipment, supplies, and drugs.
- Provide postoperative analgesia for pain management and obtain informed consent for anesthesia and related procedures.
Requirements:
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) license.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound judgments in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
