Job Title: Music Teacher

Building Kidz of Arizona is seeking a qualified Music Teacher to join our team. As a Music Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching music to young children, utilizing our Building Kidz music Curriculum.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach music to groups of children aged infant-5, with classes ranging from 20-30 minutes.
  • Promote a feeling of security and trust in children by being warm, supportive, and comforting.
  • Be enthusiastic and passionate about working with young children.
  • Ability to commute to multiple locations.
  • Develop and plan music lessons and curriculum.
  • Collaborate with other performing arts staff to plan two imaginative show productions a year.
  • Work well in a multicultural team.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Performing Arts Director.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to read music and arrange sheet music for rehearsals.
  • Knowledge of instruments such as drums, tambourines, choral bells, xylophone, maracas, and keyboard.
  • Minimum 2-3 years formal training in music, dance, or theater.
  • Minimum 2 years of teaching experience preferred.
  • Experience in developing and teaching music/theater numbers using different instruments and techniques.
Pre-Employment Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification.
  • Level One AZ Fingerprint Card.
  • TB test within the last year.

All applicants must have a valid Driver's License and a reliable car, as we have multiple locations and bring our services to our schools throughout the East Valley.
