Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant

At Hathorne Hill Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Certified Nursing Assistant will provide high-quality patient care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide vital sign measurements and record as instructed
  • Assist with serving meals and feeding residents
  • Maintain resident rooms and ensure call cords are safely accessible
  • Make rounds on assigned residents and report any unusual conditions or incidents to the nurse
  • Follow all health, sanitary, and infection control policies and maintain established standards of practice
Requirements:
  • C.N.A. certification as evidenced by completion of a Nurse's Aide Training Program approved in accordance with the State of Massachusetts Public Health Code
  • Passing score on the MA Nurse's Aide Certification Exam
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend English
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Ability to work hours as scheduled and cope with the mental, emotional, and physical stress of the position

  • Demonstrates proper techniques in relation to body mechanics
  • Properly utilizes techniques in performing Activities of Daily Living, assisted feeding, and providing nourishments
  • Takes vital signs and weights, records as facility instructed
  • Understands and upholds the Resident's Bill of Rights and holds all resident information confidential
  • Follows and complies with all State and Federal regulations as well as established Personnel Policies and Procedures
  • Maintains all pertinent records in an accurate, timely, efficient, and confidential manner
