Job Title: Mental Health Consultant for Early Childhood Development

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Consultant to join our team at Multnomah County - Health Department - Behavioral Health Division.

About the Role:
  • This is a 32-hour per week position with summer-leave benefits.
  • The successful candidate will provide culturally responsive preventative mental health consultation services to early childhood care providers, staff, and families, focusing on the healthy social emotional development of children in their care, especially Latino/e and Spanish-speaking communities.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Mental Health Consultation and Collaboration:
  • • Provide culturally responsive support to early childhood care providers, staff, and families, including formal observations, consultation, and support plans for children in the classroom.
  • • Conduct mental health screenings of young children referred by agency staff and build capacity for trauma-informed care practices.
  • • Engage with community agencies, natural support systems, churches, etc., to increase awareness and access to positive mental health development for Latino/e and Spanish-speaking children and families.
Clinical Documentation and Training:
  • • Maintain accurate clinical records and complete administrative data collection to record quantitative information about service delivery.
  • • Participate in supervision and training sessions with program supervisors and colleagues.

We offer a competitive salary range of $63,500 - $85,900 annually, depending on experience.
