Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Kansas Employer. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for preparing patients and equipment for diagnostic imaging examinations, performing tests, and maintaining equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete patient intake process, taking patient histories and preparing patients for imaging procedures
- Review patient charts and doctor's notes before examinations and maintain patient records
- Prepare radiopharmaceuticals for contrast in diagnostic images
- Position patients and equipment to capture clear images
- Monitor patients and ensure their safety during imaging procedures
- Calibrate equipment to ensure clear, usable images
- Log and organize image results, develop film, and assist with radiograph interpretation
- Ensure proper sterilization and storage of equipment, maintain radiographic equipment, and report equipment failures
- Coordinate with radiology department to schedule and complete procedures
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current radiology practices
