About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Certified Phlebotomy Technician to join our team at Prime Healthcare. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Collect blood specimens from patients of all ages using proper phlebotomy techniques and equipment.
  2. Process and prepare specimens for analysis in the clinical laboratory, including microbiology, immunology, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, chemistry, and blood bank specimens.
  3. Perform computer data entry, filing, and other clerical duties as needed.
  4. Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and healthcare team members to ensure a positive and efficient experience.
  5. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to laboratory safety protocols and regulations.
  6. Assist with specimen processing, loading, and inventory management as needed.
  7. Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the department manager or director.
Requirements
  1. High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  2. Current and valid state certification as a CPT I required.
  3. BLS certification within 45 days of hire and maintained current required.
  4. Minimum of one (1) year of clinical laboratory experience preferred.

The current compensation range for this role is $19.92 to $24.87. The exact starting compensation will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, considering a wide range of factors, including skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
