Histology Technologist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Histology Technician to join our team at KA Recruiting Inc. in a Full Service Anatomic Pathology Laboratory located on Long Island. This state-of-the-art laboratory is fully accredited by the State of New York, CAP, and Joint Commission.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform histological procedures, including tissue processing, embedding, sectioning, and staining.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including microtomes, microscopes, and other specialized instruments.
• Prepare and maintain laboratory records, including quality control and quality assurance documents.
• Collaborate with pathologists and other laboratory personnel to ensure accurate and timely test results.
• Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with new techniques and technologies.

Requirements:

• Associate of Science Degree or Bachelor of Science Degree in Histology (or related field) from an accredited institution.
• New York State license as a Clinical Laboratory Technician or Clinical Laboratory Technologist or Histotech.
• HT or HTL ASCP Certification is preferred (but not required).
