We are seeking a skilled Gastroenterologist Physician to join our team at Jefferson Health. As a gastroenterologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, diagnosing and treating gastrointestinal disorders, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
About the RoleThis is a full-time position that will involve a mix of inpatient and outpatient work. You will be part of a dynamic team of gastroenterologists who are dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and advancing the field of gastroenterology.
Responsibilities- Diagnose and treat gastrointestinal disorders, including inflammatory bowel disease, liver disease, and pancreatic disease
- Perform endoscopic procedures, including colonoscopies and upper endoscopies
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including surgeons, radiologists, and pathologists, to ensure comprehensive care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical guidelines
- Provide education and training to medical students, residents, and fellows
- MD or DO from an accredited program or foreign equivalent
- Completion of an ACGME accredited Internal Medicine residency
- Completion of an ACGME accredited GI fellowship
- Board certified/eligible in IM, GI
- Appropriate licenses and certifications

We also offer malpractice insurance with tail and academic rank at Sidney Kimmel College of Medicine.
Covid vaccination is a requirement for employment at Jefferson for employees working at Jefferson's clinical entities or at the University. If you are not currently vaccinated, you will be required to receive the vaccination prior to hire date if you are offered employment, unless you request and receive an approved medical or religious exemption from Jefferson.
