Job Summary

Cross Environmental Services Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Remediation Worker to join our team. As a Remediation Worker, you will be responsible for performing various tasks related to environmental remediation, including asbestos removal, mold remediation, and paint removal.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and dismantle scaffolding to ensure safe access to work areas.
  • Position and operate mobile decontamination units and portable showers to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Install and maintain air filtration systems to prevent the spread of contaminants.
  • Remove asbestos, mold, and paint from surfaces using specialized equipment and techniques.
  • Assist in demolition and deconstruction activities to safely remove hazardous materials.
  • Load and unload hazardous materials into disposal bags and containers.
  • Clean and maintain equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Perform daily equipment checks to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Load and unload scrap materials into trucks and roll-off boxes.
  • Perform work safely in accordance with departmental safety procedures and report any unsafe conditions or practices to supervisors.
Requirements
  • Successful work experience in asbestos removal, remediation, and general construction.
  • Remediation training and/or certification preferred.
  • Ability to work a variable schedule, including overtime, night, and weekend hours.
  • Willingness to travel to job sites.
  • Ability to pass a background check to gain access to secure job sites.
