Responsibilities

As a Registered Nurse in the Medical Surgical department, you will be responsible for directing, supervising, delivering, and evaluating patient care through the nursing process. You will maintain the standards of nursing care and practices consistent with the policies and procedures of the hospital and the Nursing Department. You will provide care primarily to adult and geriatric populations, but may care for selected pediatric patients as required.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A graduate degree from an accredited RN program
  • A current California Registered Nurse license (RG RN)
  • A current AHA CPR certification (CT CPRBLS)
  • A current AHA ACLS certification within six months of hire (CT ACLS)

Preferred qualifications include a minimum of one year of experience in acute care and demonstrated ability to assess patients and deliver care.
