We are seeking a compassionate and adaptable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team as a Travel LPN. This opportunity allows an LPN to travel locally by working in various GSS locations within a 150-mile radius from home address providing care with competitive pay, mileage reimbursement, flexibility, and no contract requirement.
About the Job- Job Summary: The Good Samaritan Society is seeking a caring and skilled LPN to provide quality care to seniors in a Christian environment.
The successful candidate will have experience in Long Term Care, preferably 6 months, and hold an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges.
Key Responsibilities- Demonstrate knowledge of nursing principles for the resident in the relevant clinical setting.
- Contributes to the assessment of residents and administers medications or treatments as ordered.
- Provides technical support to healthcare professionals as needed.
- Counsels residents, family members and/or resident advocate, under the direction of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider or physician on prevention and treatment plans.
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.
- Must have attended a pre-licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the life span as part of the curriculum or have had a minimum of 400 hours of experience as LPN at another facility.
The estimated salary range for this position is $24-$36 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
