Lead Physician Primary Care Specialist

AbsoluteCare is seeking a dynamic and mission-driven clinical leader to drive the principles of team-based collaborative care and population health for our medically complex and socially vulnerable members.
About the RoleThe Lead Physician will provide direct clinical care to a panel of members, guiding clinicians on best practices for delivering value-based care. They will work closely with the Medical Director to provide clinical leadership to providers, nurses, behavioral health specialists, and medical assistants.
Key Responsibilities- Provide excellent primary care to a panel of members, leading an interdisciplinary care team.
- Coach fellow providers in delivering excellent primary care, urgent care, or community care to their members, and effectively lead their care teams.
- Alongside the Medical Director, address questions and provide clinical guidance to nurses, MAs, and fellow providers about clinical cases.
- Drive the market towards achieving quality, utilization, and engagement goals, participating in leadership meetings and serving as AbsoluteCare's ambassador to community-based organizations, hospital systems, and payer partners.
- Active, unrestricted medical license in the state of employment.
- 5+ years of clinical experience and administrative experience leading interdisciplinary teams.
- Experience working for a clinic, community-based organization, and inpatient unit.
- Experience with training and mentoring.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving, project management, and organization skills.
- Independent self-starter and critical thinker interested in population health, healthcare utilization management, and the ongoing development of our care model.
This job operates in a professional office environment, requiring the ability to communicate clearly and exchange accurate information constantly. The role involves working with general office equipment, wearing protective attire, and being exposed to diseases and infections daily.
Physical Requirements- Ability to remain stationary for long periods.
- Constantly operates computer, keyboard, copy and fax machine, phone, and other general office equipment.
