Overview
Position Summary
The Facility Maintenance Specialist is responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of designated areas. We are looking for dedicated Day and Evening Cleaners. Shifts available include early morning and late evening hours. Part-time positions are also offered. Candidates must successfully complete a background check and meet the requirements set forth by company policies.
Key Responsibilities
+ Conduct thorough cleaning and upkeep of buildings and facilities, including heavy-duty tasks such as floor cleaning, carpet shampooing, wall washing, and waste removal.
+ Report any necessary repairs or maintenance needs to management.
+ Foster effective communication and collaborative relationships with clients, colleagues, and supervisors.
+ Adhere to all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards as mandated by the company and regulatory bodies.
+ Exhibit flexibility and readiness to undertake various assigned tasks.
Specific Duties
+ Sweep, mop, scrub, or vacuum floors while following the correct procedures for chemical cleaners and equipment to avoid damage.
+ Dust and clean furniture, walls, and equipment, including the use of ladders for high areas.
+ Move furniture and equipment as necessary to facilitate cleaning.
+ Remove stains from carpets and other surfaces using appropriate cleaning solutions.
+ Prepare cleaning solutions by mixing water with detergents or other chemicals as needed.
+ Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors to maintain their appearance.
+ Gather and dispose of trash and waste materials.
+ Clean and sanitize restrooms, ensuring they are well-stocked and maintained.
+ Periodically clean overhead vents and dust blinds.
+ Maintain cleanliness of glass surfaces, windows, and mirrors.
+ Apply pest control measures as necessary to prevent infestations.
+ Set up and dismantle equipment for events, ensuring a clean and organized environment.
+ Keep the janitorial closet organized and ensure all cleaning equipment is in good condition.
+ Monitor building security by locking doors and checking for potential hazards.
+ Drive vehicles as required for cleaning tasks.
+ Perform minor repairs as needed.
+ Carry out other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Qualifications
+ Must be at least 18 years old.
+ Must fulfill all requirements for working in specific environments, including a comprehensive work history.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience in customer service.
+ At least one year of relevant work experience.
