Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Manager to lead our Med/Surg Orthopedic department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the department, ensuring high-quality patient care, and fostering a positive and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of nursing staff, including hiring, firing, performance evaluations, and payroll.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Monitor and analyze departmental performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Provide education and training to nursing staff on best practices, new technologies, and emerging trends in healthcare.
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure and at least 5 years of experience in a Med/Surg Orthopedic setting.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with a track record of success in improving patient outcomes and staff satisfaction.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
