Cardiac Sonographer III

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Sonographer III to join our team at LeConte Medical Center, a part of Covenant Health. As a Cardiac Sonographer III, you will play a critical role in assisting our cardiologists in diagnosing congenital, structural, and disease-process cardiac issues.

• Perform echocardiograms, including transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress echocardiograms, to IAC standards and guidelines.
• Precept and train new employees and students in the technical aspects of echocardiography.
• Assist with ICAL credentialing and/or lead performance improvement projects for the department as deemed necessary.
• Demonstrate knowledge of advanced medical terminology and anatomy.
• Perform at an advanced level in ultrasound testing on patients, utilizing 2-dimensional, 3-dimensional, M-mode, spectral Doppler, color flow Doppler, speckle tracking, and other post-processing functionality.
• Provide excellent patient care and communication, including explaining procedures and providing written documentation.
• Develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, providers, and patients, and adhere to the Covenant Health Mission and Values.

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer, with preference given to those with experience in a hospital setting.
• Must have and maintain a CCI, ARRT, or ARDMS Registry, and American Heart Association BLS certification.
