Job Title: Safety Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Coordinator to join our team at Progressive Roofing. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of safety regulations and practices, with an OSHA 30 certification as a minimum requirement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and enforce all safety standards and regulations at the job site.
  • Conduct daily safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken.
  • Lead safety meetings, training sessions, and toolbox talks for all site personnel.
  • Investigate and document any accidents, incidents, or near-misses on-site, ensuring proper reporting and follow-up.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of site-specific safety plans and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, local, state, and federal safety requirements.
  • Maintain up-to-date safety documentation, records, and permits.
  • Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and contractors to improve overall site safety.
  • Support emergency preparedness and response efforts.
  • Continuously identify areas for safety improvement and recommend solutions.
Qualifications:
  • OSHA 30 Certification is required.
  • Minimum of [X] years of experience in safety management in a construction, manufacturing, or industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and lead teams.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Experience with incident investigation and report writing.
  • First Aid/CPR certification is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and safety management software is preferred.
Work Conditions:
  • On-site position requiring regular physical presence at the job site.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and move around for extended periods.
  • Exposure to construction or industrial environments, which may involve loud noise, dust, and other hazardous conditions.
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be required on-site.
