Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Substation Engineer to join our team at Westinghouse Electric Company. As a Principal Substation Engineer, you will be responsible for leading substation design and engineering projects from conception to commissioning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement substation design and engineering plans, ensuring compliance with industry codes and standards.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to secure engineering consulting resources and coordinate with other groups to ensure project success.
  • Represent the company's interests on assigned projects, including presentations and briefings on current progress, issues, and risk mitigation.
  • Work with transmission owners/operators/ISOs to ensure project deliverables meet specific requirements and are timely and accurate.
  • Manage project long lead major material orders to minimize risk of delays or exceeding the project budget.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • 7+ years of experience in substation design and engineering of high voltage substation projects.
  • Project engineering and/or project management experience with a strong bias for action.
  • PMP and/or P.E. in related discipline is a plus.
