About the Role:
Peregrine Senior Living at Colonie is seeking a compassionate and skilled Resident Care Aide to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Assist memory impaired residents with daily tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing while maintaining their dignity and promoting independence.
- Ensure compliance with all regulations regarding residents' rights and maintain accurate records of care.
- Immediately report any changes in residents' conditions to the supervisor, including signs of illness, changes in behavior, or unmet personal care needs.
- Promote residents' participation in community activities and encourage socialization.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
- Certified Nursing Assistant-CNA, Home Health Aide-HHA, or Personal Care Aide-PCA certification preferred or as required by law.
- One year of experience in a caregiving capacity preferred.
- Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly required.
