Children's Home of Reading Youth & Family Services is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Family Therapist for our Paths Program in Breinigsville, PA.

In this role, you will provide essential therapeutic support to families facing various challenges. Your expertise will guide clients towards healing and growth through individual and group therapy sessions.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Deliver bi-weekly family therapy sessions to a caseload of 8-9 clients, fostering positive change within their relationships.
  • Co-facilitate therapeutic groups one day per week, creating a supportive environment for shared experiences and learning.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation in electronic health records, ensuring accurate and timely reporting on client progress.
  • Collaborate with the clinical team through weekly meetings, sharing insights and developing comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Assist in preparing essential clinical documents such as treatment plans, court reports, and family assessments.
  • Play a vital role in assessing family involvement and implementing strategies to enhance their engagement in the therapeutic process.
  • Contribute to the assessment of clients' suitability for discharge consideration, ensuring they are well-equipped to navigate life after the program.
  • Maintain strong communication with juvenile probation officers and caseworkers, coordinating care and promoting seamless transitions.
Your Qualifications:
  • A Master's Degree in a relevant therapeutic field is required.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with an MFT License or those actively pursuing supervision towards licensure.
  • Experience working with adolescents and/or individuals involved in the criminal justice system is highly valued.
