We are looking for a seasoned Substation CAD Drafter III to join our team in Houston. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in drafting and detailing tasks, as well as proficiency in MicroStation and AutoCAD software. In this role, you will work closely with substation design engineers, designers, and other drafters to complete complex assignments and produce top-quality deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Create and modify drawings using engineering markups with a high level of attention to details on various drawing types.
- Work efficiently and be highly organized, completing tasks on time in a fast-paced engineering/production environment.
- Consistently return top-quality work products to the engineering team.
- Leverage prior experience to complete non-routine, specialized, and customized drafting tasks independently.
Requirements
- Associate of Applied Science in Drafting and Design degree from an accredited institution.
- 5+ years of relevant drafting and detailing experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
- Comprehensive understanding of all aspects of drafting principles, techniques, and procedures.
- Proficiency with the manipulation of vector and raster drawing files in AutoCAD and MicroStation.
- Ability to perform tasks in a fast-paced engineering/production environment.
