Job Summary

PetroChoice is seeking an experienced AR Supervisor to lead the Accounts Receivable team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day collections processes, coaching and mentoring the team, and fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and lead the AR team, ensuring timely collections and excellent customer service.
  • Monitor A/R aging, credit policy, and work closely with clients to ensure accounts are paid on a timely basis.
  • Recommends accounts for collection escalation to 3rd party collection agencies.
  • Reviews existing collections process and advises on best practices and opportunities for improvement.
  • Determine and assign credit limits and terms for new customer accounts.
  • Reassess credit limits and terms for existing customers.
  • Contact customers via email and/or telephone regarding past due balances and disputes.
  • Proactively manage and recover severely overdue customer accounts.
  • Provide support to various departments and customers, resolving inquiries related to billing, account standings, and payment arrangements.
  • Produce and analyze reports for management detailing accounts receivable aging changes and balance fluctuations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance from an accredited college or university.
  • 3 to 5 years of in-seat collections experience and 2-3 years of supervising a team experience.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team in a hybrid environment.
  • Excellent credit analysis and collections skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task, complex problem-solving, and maintain a responsive attitude and mindset.
  • Understanding of corporate values and ability to build them into daily work and leadership style.
Work Environment

The work environment is moderate, with occasional lifting and/or moving up to 20 pounds. The employee is required to work while sitting, use hands, and reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
