As a Swim Teacher, you'll play a crucial role in instructing children to become confident and safe swimmers, setting the foundation for a lifetime of aquatic enjoyment. While prior swimming or coaching experience is not mandatory, we offer comprehensive training to equip you for success. Key Responsibilities:
- Teach a diverse range of age groups swimming and safety expertise: Share your love for water activities with kids of all ages, imparting skills that will benefit them for years to come. There might be opportunities to instruct adults too.
- Establish consistency and reliability with your students: Building trust with your students begins with punctuality and consistent execution of swim class schedules.
- Maintain a safe swimming environment: Safety is our top priority at Diventures, and you will be tasked with upholding all safety protocols and standards.
- Ensure customer satisfaction: Interact with parents and kids regularly, necessitating strong interpersonal skills.
- Maintain pool cleanliness: Apart from teaching, instructors assist with pool upkeep, maintenance, and cleanliness.
Key Personality Attributes:
We are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic about swimming, possess a positive attitude, and enjoy working with children and teenagers. Strong communication skills, scheduling flexibility, a team-oriented mindset, and a willingness to learn and grow professionally are highly valued.
Requirements:
- Minimum age requirement is 16 years.
- Obtain First-Aid/CPR/AED and O2 certification within 30 days of joining. Training sessions are available at Diventures.
- Swim Teachers will undergo an 18-hour curriculum training and a 32-hour teaching apprenticeship.
Prior experience in lifeguarding or swim instruction is beneficial but not obligatory.
