Job Summary:
Ascension is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Observation Unit team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct nursing care to patients in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Observation Unit, including assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and monitoring patient progress.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans, ensuring that all necessary interventions are implemented in a timely and effective manner.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs, working closely with the healthcare team to ensure a smooth transition to post-acute care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices that enhance patient outcomes.
Requirements:
- BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date required.
- Registered Nurse licensure from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing required.
- Diploma from an accredited school of nursing or required professional licensure at time of hire.
