Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a School Nurse (LPN). As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will provide day-to-day health services for students and staff, conduct health screening programs, and maintain accurate health records.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a health advocate for students, providing guidance and support on various health-related issues.
  • Act as a health resource for staff, students, and families, offering expertise on health concerns and developing strategies for healthy living.
  • Provide emergency health care and first aid for students and staff, utilizing your skills and knowledge to respond effectively in crisis situations.
  • Ensure compliance with ADA regulations regarding health conditions, promoting inclusivity and respect for all individuals.
  • Implement USD #475 health screening programs, monitoring and reporting results to stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate health records, adhering to school district guidelines and professional standards.
  • Report communicable diseases as mandated by the State of Kansas, prioritizing public health and safety.

Requirements:

  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a valid State of Kansas license.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with diverse groups.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
