Purpose

The Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment in our buildings. This includes cleaning floors, removing debris, and ensuring that restrooms are well-maintained. We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual who is passionate about creating a clean and healthy space.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Clean and supply designated building areas, including dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and cleaning ceiling vents.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance activities, documenting any issues or concerns.
  • Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects as assigned.
  • Notify management of any deficiencies or needs for repairs.
  • Make adjustments and minor repairs as needed.
  • Stock and maintain supply rooms.
  • Cooperate with other staff members to ensure a smooth and efficient work environment.
  • Adhere to the highest safety and sanitation standards.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Ability to observe and comply with safety and security procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret written information, write clear statements, and communicate effectively.
  • Must be able to perform physical work and operate power equipment commonly used in janitorial operations.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow schedules and commitments.
  • Ability to follow directions from a supervisor and demonstrate professionalism.
  • Must be able to manage time efficiently and work individually as well as within a team.
