Position Overview:

Bartlett Regional Hospital is in search of a full-time rehabilitation therapist who possesses a strong ethical foundation and a commitment to continuous learning, aimed at delivering top-notch care to our diverse and vibrant Alaskan community.

As a regional health center catering to several smaller communities, our therapists often serve as patient advocates, requiring them to think critically and collaborate effectively with other healthcare providers and specialists within the hospital, major medical facilities, and surrounding areas.

All candidates must be prepared to treat some inpatients and may occasionally need to cover weekends. We cater to patients with neurological, orthopedic, and general medical conditions, as well as wounds and pediatric cases. Additionally, we are in the process of developing a pelvic floor rehabilitation program.

We would particularly appreciate a therapist with training in pediatrics, wound care, or lymphedema, but we are also open to welcoming new graduates who are eager to learn and thrive in a dynamic, collaborative setting.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduation from an APTA accredited School of Physical Therapy with a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral Degree. Must complete annual educational requirements.
  • License(s): Current State of Alaska Physical Therapy License in good standing.
  • Preferred Experience: One (1) year of experience as a Rehabilitation Therapist. Experience working with diverse populations, including inpatient CCU, acute care, rehabilitation, and outpatient services, particularly pediatrics.
Internal Hires: Compensation will be determined based on applicable personnel rules or union contract terms.
