Job Title: Travel Nurse RN Labor and Delivery
Job Summary:
Tact Staff is seeking a skilled Travel Nurse RN Labor and Delivery to join our team. As a Travel Nurse RN Labor and Delivery, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a Labor and Delivery setting. This is a 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week, working 12-hour shifts.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to Labor and Delivery patients, including vaginal exams and circulating during C-Sections.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Requirements:
- Current CA RN license.
- 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery.
- Excellent critical thinking skills.
- BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications.
- Fetal monitoring experience.
- C-Section circulator and post-CS recovery experience.
- Vaginal exam experience.
- Care of laboring patients, including CS and vaginal delivery and recovery.
- Care of high-risk antepartum patients.
- Obstetrical emergencies, including Ob hemorrhage.
- Care of newborns within the first hour of life.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Scrub experience.
- NCC certification in Ip-Ob or EFM.
Unit Information:
- Number of beds: 9 LDRs and 4 additional beds for triage and outpatient testing.
- Number of staff: 43.
- Type of staff: Director/Manager, Clinical Nurse Coordinator or Charge RN, 4-5 RNs, 1 Meal Break RN, Ob Tech, Unit Assistant.
- Patient ratios: 1:1, 1:2, 1:3.
- Type of equipment: Hospital beds, GE Novii and wired fetal monitors, OR equipment.
- EMR: CPN/Meditech.
