MDS Assessment Nurse Specialist

We are seeking an experienced MDS Assessment Nurse to join our team at GPAC, a leading national search firm specializing in healthcare recruitment.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for implementing state and federal guidelines related to the Minimum Data Set (MDS) process, ensuring all requirements are met and up-to-date.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective MDS processes.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure accurate data collection and reporting.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A Registered Nurse Degree from an accredited college or university or approved Registered Nurse program.
- Current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN in Wisconsin.
- Two years long-term care experience.
- Intimate knowledge of the MDS process.
- One year experience as an MDS Assessment Nurse or a Registered Nurse with MDS experience.
- Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care.
- Experience in planning, organizing, developing, implementing, and interpreting programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures necessary for providing quality care.
- Leadership and supervisory ability.
- Able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 pounds to a minimum height of 3 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 20 feet.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Compensation$85,000 - $95,000 per annum.
