Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the creation of system-level designs for new initiatives, ensuring thorough evaluation and enhancement of existing concepts.
  • Prepare detailed Systems Engineering cost and schedule assessments for significant design development projects. Provide technical presentation support and collaborate with marketing during proposal phases and development stages.
  • Plan and execute experiments to assess the operational characteristics of products or processes, translating findings into actionable design criteria.
  • Facilitate System Integration, Verification, and Validation by defining, specifying, and overseeing testing, analysis, and integration activities. Ensure comprehensive reports are generated to document the outcomes of these efforts.
  • Support the design review and phase gate processes to guarantee that engineering deliverables comply with FDA/ISO standards and requirements.
  • Oversee the formulation of requirements across various disciplines, including Software, Electrical, Mechanical, and Electro-optics.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
  • A minimum of 9 years of experience in complex electro-mechanical instrument systems engineering.
  • Experience in hardware/software integration.
  • Availability for daily onsite presence is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Engineering.
  • Experience in the medical device sector.
  • Extensive development experience in one or more engineering disciplines, including software, mechanical, electrical, optics, and fluidics, with a solid understanding of advanced theories, concepts, principles, and processes.
  • Proven ability to provide technical leadership during the investigation of complex medical instrumentation products and oversee the development of cross-disciplinary requirements.
