Radiation Therapist Job Description

The Radiation Therapist plays a vital role in our team at Augusta Health, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of ionizing radiation treatment, CT simulation, and technology. They deliver prescribed treatment plans based on direction from the radiation oncologist(s), maintaining high professional standards of conduct and patient care. This includes ensuring patient and employee safety and confidentiality, adhering to employee expectations and values set forth.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver prescribed treatment plans based on direction from the radiation oncologist(s)
  • Maintain high professional standards of conduct and patient care
  • Ensure patient and employee safety and confidentiality
  • Adhere to employee expectations and values set forth
Requirements
  • Certified or certification eligible by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy (renewed annually)
  • Certification in CPR-BLS
  • 2 or more years of experience as a radiation therapist preferred

Physical Demands
