Our headquarters is located in Livingston, NJ, and we operate various programs throughout Essex County.


The Early Intervention team at the Shapiro Center consists of early childhood specialists who collaborate with parents and family members to enhance the growth and development of children by fostering motor, communication, and social skills.


Position Overview:
We are seeking Casual and LLC Speech Therapists to contribute to the Shapiro Center team. This role involves working in natural settings such as homes and daycare facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and language services in natural therapeutic environments for children aged birth to 3
  • Implement therapy aimed at enhancing speech and oral motor skills
  • Provide support for feeding-related concerns
  • Conduct Early Intervention assessments
  • Adhere to the goals and outcomes outlined in the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP)
  • Participate in six-month and annual review meetings for children on the caseload, along with other necessary meetings
  • Maintain communication with families to ensure their involvement in the therapy process
  • Collaborate with other therapists to ensure comprehensive treatment
  • Independently manage scheduling and travel within the service area
  • Complete necessary documentation, including session notes, progress reports, and billing information

Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree from an accredited Speech Therapy program
  • Licensed Speech Pathologist in the State of NJ
  • At least one year of experience working with children from birth to five years who have developmental delays and disabilities
  • Valid NJ Driver's License with the ability to maintain coverage under the agency's insurance policy

LLC Requirements:

  • Proof of Workers' Compensation and Liability Insurance is required
