Job Title: Software Quality Engineer Stf
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Quality Engineer to join our team at Lockheed Martin Corporation. As a Software Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our software products and processes. This includes evaluating software processes and products for conformity to standards, models, and software engineering program-defined processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate software processes and products for conformity to standards, models, and software engineering program-defined processes
- Ensure quality is built into program processes and products by checking for completeness, consistency, correctness, and conformance throughout the entire software development life cycle and maintenance activities
- Develop, monitor, measure, and analyze software metrics for continuous improvement
- Ability to fill all aspects of the Quality function, including Quality Control, Quality Assurance, and Quality Engineering
- Ability to present software quality assessment of products and processes to the customer and program management
- Track and manage nonconformances, software defects, trend analysis, root cause analysis, and corrective and preventive action activities for the program
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline
- Current US Citizenship
- Active Top Secret security clearance
- Knowledge of quality systems/processes and expertise in external quality standards
- Knowledge of software development life cycle models
- Ability to interpret software design and code to verify the implementation of requirements
- Ability to work off-shifts and weekends
- Some travel required for this position to support program objectives
- Proficient skill with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Able to work independently in an environment with challenging requirements and dynamic schedules
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and resolve technical issues with multiple teams, suppliers, and customer
- Ability to read/write code in C, C++, and/or Java
- Technical experience in a related discipline (e.g., Quality Engineering, System Safety, Engineering, Manufacturing, Integration & Test)
- Experience in supporting Agile/Scrum software development
Desired Skills:
- Ability to lead a team of software quality engineers
- Knowledge of configuration management and control tools
- Experience with ClearQuest, ClearCase, DOORS, and/or other Configuration Management tools
- Experience with Atlassian tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence)
- Experience with code collaborator tools
- Ability to collaborate with current MRB certification. Experience making Preliminary Review / Material Review Board decisions.
- Experience in test planning, processing, and nonconformance processing, including root cause analysis and corrective action development
- Experience in establishing quality assurance performance metrics for identifying process improvement
- Experience with US Military customers and/or other government customer support organizations
- Experience working with space vehicle subcontractors and suppliers
- Knowledge of AS9100 requirements

Ability to Work Remotely:
Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $100,400 - $192,500. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
